We are looking for a talented Support Specialist Electrician to join our team for our location in Columbus, IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Troubleshoots, assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical systems using all necessary tools to keep equipment available and capable.
The Electrician position at FSC is a fast-paced position requiring the candidate to be able to troubleshoot 24v, 120v, and 480v electrical systems on a wide variety of high-precision machining and manufacturing equipment.
The candidate will need to make sound, quick decisions on repairs with limited supervision.
Performs work in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and specifications using various tools, measuring, and testing instruments.
Proficient in performing troubleshooting, electrical repairs, and maintenance of equipment.
Participates actively with local Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Strong Electrical and mechanical aptitude
Ability to read electrical prints
Previous electrical troubleshooting experience, including experience with 24v,120v, and 480v.
Previous working knowledge and hands-on experience with CNC troubleshooting (Fanuc, Siemens, or Allen Bradley) and PLC troubleshooting (Siemens or Allen Bradley) preferred.
Knowledge and familiarity with VFDs, servo motors/controllers
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Requires 6 years of experience OR an Associate's degree with two to four years of relevant experience OR a Trade certificate with six years of relevant experience OR Department of Labor certification.
Must be available to work the 2nd Shift, Mon – Fri 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM, with the potential for voluntary or mandatory overtime based on the needs of the facility.
Pay rate starts at $31.00/hr with an additional $1.50/hr for shift differential. $1500 SIGN-ON BONUS
