We are looking for a talented FUEL SYSTEMS SPARK IGNITION CONTROLS PRODUCT ENGINEER to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Electronics & Fuel System Business Unit/ Components Business Segment in Columbus, IN or your approved HYBRID location.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Product Verification and Validation Management - Develops product systems validation plans from a variety of inputs to identify failure modes.
Design and Application of Mechatronics Systems - Specifies electronic hardware and interconnections that measure and control systems; applies electronic hardware and interconnections in Cummins' products.
Machine Integration and Optimization.
Systems Thinking - Defines the system of interest by drawing the boundaries, identifying its context within its environment.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
College, university, or equivalent bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines required.
Prior entry level engineering equivalent work experience in a related discipline is required.
Ability to understand Matlab/Simulink models to infer the controls logic, basic understanding of ECMs.
Ability to conduct/support execution of various test scenarios on engine test cell and HIL bench.
Good understanding of control systems (like PI control loops, lookup tables, filters etc),and calibration tuning development
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
