Global Organizational & Culture Director (remote possibility)


We are looking for a talented Global Organizational & Culture Director – HSE to join our plant leadership team at the Corporate- Supply Chain in Columbus, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Provides overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of the program management activities across multiple functional areas.

  • Drives the establishment of objectives, plans, standards, risk identification, and policies ensuring successful implementation of all phases of program management; Partners with business executives to identify short and long-term projects plans; develops and maintains strong relationships across the organization.

  • Drives the establishment of objectives, plans, standards, risk identification, and policies ensuring successful implementation of all phases of program management; determines project timelines; oversees analysis, program design, budget, communication, and integration; approves business workflow and program design.

  • Directs the assessment of Project Manager capabilities and available program budgets.Keeps business leadership apprised of program status and developments; monitors project success measures and understands the status of specific projects and assignments.

  • Formulates annual operational and financial budgets as they relate to unit objectives.Develops, leads, and motivates project management staff; sets goals in training and development, performance, and career planning.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree required.


Significant experience (10 plus years), including managerial and budgetary experience, required. Broad business knowledge required.

  • This is a newly created position to support the long term HSE strategic pillar: Cultivating a culture of HSE Excellence.

  • Applies psychological principles to lead development of a long-term strategy for cultivating a culture of HSE excellence across all levels of the organization.

  • Drives the establishment of objectives, plans, standards, and policies that ensure successful implementation of HSE culture integration throughout the company.

  • Leads the design of methods to assess the HSE culture at all levels of the organization and conducts research/survey to obtain information that supports statistical analysis and provide inputs to cultural aspects of the organization's HSE performance.

  • Proffers expert advice on strategies necessary to facilitate organizational development and improved performance as related to the HSE culture.

  • Designs and implements development/training programs for leaders and employees that support execution of the cultural strategy.

  • Develops networks across all functions of Cummins to champion a caring and coaching HSE culture; keeps business leadership apprised of project status and developments; monitor project success measures.

  • Designs innovative methods to engage employees in HSE and drives a culture of interdependence throughout the organization.

  • Champion the design of HSE programs and initiatives which drive adoption of diversity and inclusion efforts for the HSE function.

  • Global experience with various geography is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
