Mobile Applications Systems Engineer – Technical Specialist
Description
We are looking for a talented Mobile Applications Systems Engineer – Technical Specialist to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Components Business Segment in Columbus, IN and Hybrid to your remote home office.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Develops customer requirements for mobile applications running on Android, iOS, and Windows or other platforms. The key application is Cummins Guidanz available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Participates in defining User Experience concepts based on voice of customer and further refines the concepts through functional requirements.
Analyzes Application Programming Interface (APIs) from delivery partners and identifies gaps and requirements to support changing needs.
Applies a robust failure mode analysis (FMEA) to ensure robustness of products against failures
Captures voices and develops requirements using a structured methodology supporting an Agile development process.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
College or University degree in Engineering or related field is required
Must have a least 5 years’ experience working in a similar or related role
Must have demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making
Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is highly preferred

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
