Description
Collaborate with business management on multiple products with business knowledge to identify short and long-term business priorities using Lean Agile thinking and representing the voice of the customer. Practice Lean/Agile leadership and contribute to vision and program backlog. Participate in program backlog refinement, prepare for Program Increment Planning, own team backlog and implementation, and be accountable for effective product backlog management. Lead feature planning and prioritization for capabilities, apply Behavior Driven Development (BDD) to guide development, act as primary source for story detail and priorities in Iteration Planning, and establish story acceptance criteria. Understand the scope of enabler work and collaborate with Systems and Solution Architect/Engineering to assist decisions and sequencing of technology enablers. Define and drive iteration goals and content via prioritized stories. Build, edit, and maintain the Team Backlog of user stories, defects, and enablers. Maintain the flow of just-in-time story elaboration, accept user stories as done, validate the story meets acceptance criteria and complies with the Definition of Done (DoD). Participate in the Iteration Retrospective and the Inspect & Adapt workshop. Advocate for and lead others in the concepts of the Agile Manifesto and Lean thinking in support of adopting and applying the 9 SAFe principles and practices for the organization. Apply Lean and systems thinking approaches in support of strategy, investment funding, Agile portfolio operations, and governance. Evaluate working systems, manage Epic investments and dynamic budget adjustments to minimize overhead through funding and empowering Value Streams while maintaining financial and fit-for-user governance to minimize overhead. Assess and support decision rules that align with financial objectives of the Solution to guide the economic decision-making process. Identify, refine, prioritize, and sequence backlog items using Weighted Shortest Job First (WSJF) to ensure the economic success of the solution. Determine the details of a product feature to ensure that any unanswered questions about it are answered so that development can process. Identify and apply critical skills and Lean-Agile principles and practices in the creation of high-performing Agile teams to design and construct high-quality technical solutions.

Experience and Education:
Positions require a Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Information Technology, or related field and 2 years of experience as Product, Quality, or Systems Engineer, Information Technology Analyst, or related position. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s Computer Science or Engineering, Information Technology, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Product, Quality, or Systems Engineer Information Technology Analyst, or related position. Experience to include: Represent the voice of the customer; Program Increment Planning; Product backlog management; Behavior Driven Development (BDD); Iteration Planning; Agile and Lean thinking; 9 SAFe principles and practices; Weighted Shortest Job First (WSJF); Design technical solutions.
