We are looking for a talented Senior Software Application Engineer to join our team specializing in Cummins Electronics and Fuel Systems for our Component Business Segment in Columbus, IN.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
This position will require leading Application Engineering customer care lane activities for software applications
Lead Tools troubleshooting and root cause investigation using structured problem-solving methodology, writes test cases, perform software testing and coordinates field testing,
Lead global customer forum discussions for tools and manage customer relationship with feedback sessions, facilitate tools training's with end customers.
Utilize software development skill sets in supporting development activities for tools customers.
Maintains knowledge base on tools sharepoint sites and works with global support team to keep it updated on every new tool version release
Education, Licenses, Certifications
University, or equivalent bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required. Post-graduate (Master's) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles.
Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience (4 plus years) in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making. Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred
Programming / coding exposure to native technologies such as C, C , CLI, OOPS concepts and should have worked on any of the managed technologies such as .NET, WPF, WCF, Core JAVA & Advanced java.
Hands on expertise on Windows Application Development platform
Exposure to Client – Server based architecture and APP server, Web servers, DB servers and its interaction with the client applications.
Exposure to SOAP, RESTFUL API’s, Web server communication
Demonstrated skillsets on technical issue troubleshooting, Root cause analysis, systematic approach to fix the complex issues at customers end and 7 step problem solving.
Demonstrated customer interaction skills, hands on expertise on remote customer interactions (RDP).
Knowledge of industry standards such as Cybersecurity vulnerabilities & risks, OWASP Top 10,
Exposure to information technology (IT), networking needs and have worked on providing scalable solution
Ability to integrate other tools / libraries from third parties.
Worked on agile software development cycle
Demonstrated ability to interact with different stakeholders from diff geographical locations, understand new requirements, provide quick solution to their needs
Exposure to tools used for development such as source code management tools, code / doc review, defect tracking systems
