We are looking for a talented Software Validation Engineer to join our team specializing in System/Information Technology Function for our Corporate Organization in Columbus, IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design.
Design, modify, develop, write and implement software programming applications. Support and/or install software applications.
Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle; Document and demonstrate solutions; Develops flow charts, layouts and documentation
Determine feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions; Understand business needs and know how to create the tools to manage them
Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards and programming
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Knowledge of various automotive protocols such as UDS, CAN, J1939, or XCP
Knowledge of vehicle parts such as solenoids, sensors, and Engine Control Module (ECM) and how the parts interact
Knowledge of J1939 protocol and how to use the protocol to diagnose electronic issues
Knowledge of end-to-end automotive calibration and diagnostic control and data flows of ECM
Experience using CAN Analyzer, PCAN Explorer, and CAPL Scripting
Experience with SQL server and REST API tools such as PostMan
Experience with testing various functions of ECM
Experience with configuring automotive lab such as CAN cables to support different test scenarios
Skilled in debugging automotive systems such as CAN bus and ECM
Knowledge of automation, regression, functional, and security testing of ECM
Experience with working on Scrum team
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of python programming language is a plus
Knowledge of AWS is a plus
Knowledge of CANoe, and CANBrowsers is a plus
BS in computer science, engineering, electronics, or Information Technology
3 years of experience with automotive domain
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
