We are looking for a talented Maintenance Electricianto join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Power System Business Segment in Daventry.
This is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week
Salary is £33,000 - £40,000 depending on experience.
Reporting within the controls systems engineering team, will be able to safely undertake a full range of controls maintenance and small project duties within a complex manufacturing environment. The role will be predominantly working in the Blockline, Assembly, Test and Trim areas ensuring key equipment is returned to production in a timely manner:
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Fault finding and repair of plant and machinery including automated lines, nutrunners, test cells, using advanced fault-finding techniques
Complete small controls related projects
Following job completion all equipment must be functioning correctly and efficiently.
Ensure a timely response to events
Review equipment with a view to pre-empt and prevent equipment failure.
Raise requisitions for equipment spares in line with company cost, quality and delivery requirements and submit to supervisor for approval
Respond within skill boundaries for emergency procedure events.
Liaise closely with Operation’s Supervisors on priorities and initiate analyses of data to support corrective engineering work.
Support team operation and assist/train others as appropriate.
Liaise with external controls related resource (Newfield etc) in breakdown/project support
Competently follow safe systems of work to complete tasks including working in confined space/at heights, LOTO where Necessary
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
ONC equivalent or higher in an engineering discipline
Recognised apprenticeship (Time served electrician or mechanical fitter)
Experience of automated lines, test cells preferable, Siemens S5, S7, TIA portal PLC knowledge an advantage
Experienced in working within Safe systems of work, (LOTO, Working at height, Confined spaces)
Computer literate (Maximo, Lotus Notes, Oracle) and other packages, Excel/Word.
Able to follow a systematic problem-solving process
Experience of Pilz systems desirable
Able to competently use a Siemens field PG for Advanced fault finding desirable
