We are looking for a talented Quality Manager to join our team specializing in quality for our Power Systems Business in Fridley, Minnesota, US.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Leading a multi-level team of 16 employees with 3 direct reports.
In a plant environment, leading the development and maintenance of continuous improvement actions, tools, and capabilities in support of defect-free processes that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Developing plant quality employees who are critical to manufacturing process.
Collaborating with plant management and line leaders to develop strategic quality business goals and objectives and lead the plant quality function toward achievement of those objectives.
Assessing the quality of products produced and initiates work stoppage if problems are uncovered that affect quality of product.
Responsible for Plant Quality including processes such as deviations, stop ships, MNCs etc
Establishing and maintains quality assurance standards, procedures, and controls.
Organizing post-implementation exercises to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement.
Responsible for developing and administering development, work & progression plans for the Plant Quality team
Assessing team members developmental needs and provides opportunities as they relate to the needs of the business
Responsible for engaging with customers & compliance agencies on Plant Quality audits
Organizes post-implementation exercises to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement
Responsible for developing and administering the annual Plant Quality Goals & budget
This is an on-site position within the Fridley Plant
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Significant level of relevant work experience (5 years), including team leadership experience, required.
Strong communications skills are required to facilitate plant level forums and communicating with Plant Leadership & PSBU Quality Leadership & Supplier Quality
Ability to work cross functionally with multiple groups both within the Plant and external to the Plant
Demonstrated ability to develop a department vision with metrics and deliver on commitments
Education, Licenses, Certifications
- College, university, or equivalent degree required. Green Belt certification required.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
