In-Shop Power Generation Technician
We are looking for a talented In-Shop Power Generation Technician to join our team specializing in Power Generation.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Executes repairs and rebuilds on power generation products in a service workshop under supervision
Applies documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and scheduled maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools, disassemble power generation equipment
Assists with completing required documentation such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
Completes training in line with skill and business requirements.
Adhere to all our relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Diagnose and repair 4kw to 12kw diesel, gas and propane generators
Performs removal and installation of generators in multiple applications (Food Truck, Box Truck, RV, etc..)
Coach Care Certified and NFPA 70E certification
(Entry) Technician Level I: Minimal level workshop related experience required; basic level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products; high voltage/low voltage practical experience; qualified to perform work on a minimal number of products in-scope for Technician at this location; primarily engage in basic maintenance and diagnosis/repair; requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.
(Intermediate) Technician Level II: Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products; high voltage/low voltage practical experience; qualified to perform work on an intermediate number of products in-scope for Technician at this location; primarily engage in moderately complex maintenance and diagnosis/repair; requires limited direct supervision and may provide basic training or guidance to new Technicians.
(Advanced) Technician Level III: Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products; high voltage/low voltage practical experience; qualified to perform work on most or all of products in-scope for Technician at this location; frequently engage in complex diagnosis/repair; requires minimal to no supervision and have experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior Technicians (preferred)
CDL is preferred but not required. Must be open to obtain CDL if needed. This role will require a completed DMV driving report and will be part of FTA pool.
Apprentice Trained Power Generations/Electrical Technician (preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
This role is under a Collective Bargaining Agreement, Local IAM 701

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
