Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II - 2nd Shift

We are looking for a talented Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift to join our team for our location in Plainfield, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Comprehensive knowledge troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, maintaining and making improvements to mechanical systems.

  • Works with relevant functions to select and utilize appropriate resources, tools, machinery and specialty equipment.

  • Thoroughly understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.

  • Acts as a formal resource coordinating others. Quickly and effectively adapts to change in the manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrate specialized and expert knowledge as it relates to key pieces of equipment in the Plainfield facility

  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience to independently tear down, service, and reassemble semi-automatic equipment

  • Examples: ROSIE, Blaster, Sigma Press, Vertical Lathe

  • Demonstrate capability to independently define and complete continuous improvement projects in area of responsibility

  • Demonstrate ability to mentor and train team members

  • Complete tasks as required by following industry accepted policies and practices for a general maintenance support team.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Controls Safety - Recognizes controls related hazards in a manufacturing environment (Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic) to incorporate safe practices and procedures as part of the daily work plan to reduce injuries and create a safe machine environment.

  • Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.

  • Manufacturing Knowledge - Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.

  • Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

Education:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.

Experience:

  • 10 years of previous Industrial Maintenance Technician experience preferred

  • Previous experience with Electrical troubleshooting of Industrial Manufacturing equipment preferred

  • Previous experience with Mechanical troubleshooting of Industrial Manufacturing equipment preferred

  • Previous experience with Hydraulic troubleshooting of Industrial Manufacturing equipment preferred

  • Have the knowledge and ability to operate, troubleshoot, order replacement parts for, perform scheduled preventative maintenance on and make needed repairs to all company equipment, machines, and systems.

  • Have personal knowledge of and demonstrate the ability to use, operate, and maintain multiple types of powered tools and equipment.

  • Be responsible for, and have the ability to maintain and use a company provided set of general maintenance tools.

  • Ability to work 2nd Shift: M - F, 4 PM - 2:30 AM

  • Capable of working extended hours when business needs demand

  • 10 - 20 hours of overtime available, based on business demands.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
