We are looking for a talented Customer Quality Engineer to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Corporate Segment in Jamestown, NY.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Provide immediate, on-site response to any issues related to Fuel Systems and establish containment for quality issues
Serve as the interface between JEP and Fuel Systems on all technical & quality issues
Advocate for JEP’s interests within the Fuel System business and for Fuel System’s interests at JEP
Facilitate change management, customer approvals, and smooth introductions through the VPCR process; Capture and communicate ESN details
Conduct quality audits and identify improvement opportunities.
Review engine test data, document deviations related to Fuel Systems, and publish weekly report
Actively participate in the cadence of daily / weekly communication forums relevant to JEP & Fuel Systems (EQR, VPCR, Quality Pulse)
Monitor the situation at JEP as it pertains to Fuel Systems daily, identify emerging issues, and take action to prevent JEP escalations
Partner with JEP and do whatever is necessary to protect production and ensure their success (hardware coordination, logistics, escalating issues within
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Background in mechanical engineering, material science, or quality engineering
Experience with the application and interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications
Solid working knowledge of fuel systems and associated component
Familiarity with engine test methods
Advanced investigation and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships and manage conflict effectively
Strong communication and presentation skills; Must be able to translate technical information into actionable conclusions and communicate to varied audiences.
Detail oriented and strong organization skills
