Quality Engineer Lead
We are looking for a talented Quality Engineer Lead to join our team specializing in Quality for our Engine Business Segment in Jamestown, NY (On-site).
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Applies the principles of product quality planning, evaluation, and control in support of the manufacturing and installation operations of the organization.
Facilitates continuous improvement quality activities to reduce the potential for defects and ensures continual improvement in process and product design.
Leads audits of processes and quality systems. Leads the technical quality planning and ensures customer satisfaction through structured and measurable processes as defined by industry standard.
Leads all aspects of supplier quality management; helps develop strategy and collaborative supplier partnerships; identifies supplier innovation capabilities; contributes to supplier audit and certification process; tracks supplier performance metrics and acts to quickly resolve issues to improve supplier quality performance.
Serves as a quality technical resource to other functional areas.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Bachelor’s Degree required (Quality, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering)
4 years of experience in a quality environment
Managed direct reports in past is preferred
Familiarity with Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) manuals
Has worked with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Parts Approval Process (PPAP) process.
Project Management skills required. Ability to manage conflict and problem solve.
Flexibility in hours to support 24/7 production needs.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
