Field Service Diesel Technician

Description

We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business (Kapolei,HI).

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop

• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools

• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles

• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

• Maintain own tools

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

(Entry):

• Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics

• Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality

(Intermediate):

• Completes complex internal engine repairs

• Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision

(Advanced):

• Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools

• Larger more complicated engine rebuilds

• Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate. $40-$45.27/HR

Qualifications

Candidate must meet all eligibility requirements to drive a company vehicle. ASE preferred, but not mandatory at time of hire. Will need to obtain ASE (T2), within 6 months of hire.

This position does not require a CDL but would be nice to have, a CDL may be required to obtain upon hire.

• A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire

• Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older

This position will require a Med-Card and we will also be required to complete a DMV driving report. CANDIDATE MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD. This position will be part of the FTA pool.

• A current valid CDL is required for this role.

• This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free of major violations

• This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical

• This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use

• Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age

• This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
