Cash Application Consultant
Cummins Sales and Service is currently seeking a Cash Application Consultant to become part of the dynamic team at our Langley, BC office.
Reporting to the Corporate Credit Manager , you will primarily support financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of payments to accounts.
Maintain up-to-date balancing of cash applications.
Follow up on and allocate payments.
Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash, etc.
Post returned transactions.
Resolve unauthorized deductions according to procedure and adjust entries as needed.
Complete daily and month end reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
Reconcile payment batches.
Process journal entries.
Maintain accounts receivable files and data spreadsheets
Monitor and process daily cash batches.
Investigate and resolve departmental queries.
Process adjustments for GL’s.
This position will work Monday – Friday, 8 hours / day.
Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada without sponsorship.
Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential.
General knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures.
Good knowledge of office administration and procedures.
Proficient in data processing.
2.5 years accounts receivable and general accounting.
Proficient with MS Office.
Positive, friendly demeanor, and works well within a team environment.
Able to multi-task and prioritize.
