Field Service Technician - Orange Resident

Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, this autonomous field service role will see you engage with our customers local to Orange and in some instances Dubbo and Cobar. You’ll form part of our high performing, mining focused operation, working with a wide range of Cummins’ products. You will perform breakdown maintenance and be the go-to person as our customers’ technical liaison.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Deliver a first-class service to our customers.

• Complete breakdown repairs and scheduled maintenance of heavy diesel mining products

• Diagnose and repair various High Horsepower engines.

• Partial engine rebuilding and reconditioning

• Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to the Field Service Supervisor

• Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.

• Play a vital role in upholding Cummins’ strong presence in the region

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Relevant Heavy Diesel trade qualification - Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (to Australian standards)

• Certificate III heavy commercial road transport/ Cert III in mobile plant or Diesel fitter.

• Previous field service experience

• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, mining equipment, power generation on engines and similar applications is preferred (ideally with an OEM)

• Solid diagnostic, electronic and IT capabilities

• Base hourly rate commensurate with experience
