Fuel Cell Systems Validation Lead


We are looking for a talented Fuel Cell Systems Validation Lead to join our team specializing in hydrogen fuel cell power systems technology for our # NewPower Business Unit in Mississauga, Ontario.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Leads, designs and develops fuel cell system architectures.

  • Develops and manages design documentation for fuel cell products (electrical schematics, P&ID diagrams, bills of material, technical specifications, etc.).

  • Responsible for all aspects of product design, engineering, and testing/validation by working with cross-functional teams.

  • Identifies and implements engineering changes (mechanical, process, or electrical) to improve manufacturability, reduce cost, and improve quality for fuel cell products.


To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • University degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.

  • Strong hands-on experience in designing and development of electromechanical prototypes and products.

  • Experience with electromechanical systems such as: pumps, blowers, sensors, valves and compressors.

  • Knowledge of data acquisition systems (DAQ), including associated DAQ sensors such as thermocouples and pressure transducers.

  • Strong analytical skills in broad engineering disciplines (electrical systems, fluid dynamics and heat transfer, process control, etc.). Previous experience developing and reading electrical schematics, P&ID diagrams, and software state diagrams.

  • Strong aptitude for developing complex systems, problem identification, and issue resolution.

  • Previous application of design for manufacturing and cost reduction strategies.
