Diesel Technician

Description

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business (New Hudson, MI).

$5000 sign on bonus

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Will be working on RV’s, Generator’s, and Chassis

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop

• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools

• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles

• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

• Maintain own tools

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

(Entry):

• Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics

• Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality

(Intermediate):

• Completes complex internal engine repairs

• Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision

(Advanced):

• Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools

• Larger more complicated engine rebuilds

• Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation

Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience. This position will require a complete DMV driving report but no Driver Qualification file.

• A current valid license is required for this role

• Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience

• This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
