We are looking for a talented CRP Production Associate – Disassembly Third Shift to join our team specializing in logistics for our CBS Segment in Charleston, SC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.

  • Follows all applicable standard work, process documentation and quality procedures such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke and visual standards.

  • Performs quality inspections

  • Maintaining a clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks.

  • Participates actively in the identification of ways in which to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development

  • Applies Cummins Operating System (COS) practices and Operations Excellence (OE) methodology throughout the plant

  • Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures & regulations

Experience:

  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.

Turbocharges: disassembly, cleaning, and machining

This role is a turbo disassembly process where units coming from prior use are completely torn down and components are salvaged. This job requires someone who enjoys working with their hands, is familiar and comfortable working with tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, air-gun, sander, and small presses. We are looking for someone who is reliable, dependable, adaptable, able to take direction well, a team player, works well with a group of 8 to 12 people, able to maintain a high level of accuracy, and able to perform repetitive tasks while standing for 90% of an 8-hour shift. This person must also be flexible, willing to be cross trained and willing to work in other areas of the plant when necessary to fill production requirements including operating CNC machines and cleaning cells. The ideal candidate must also be able to lift 35 lbs. regularly and willing to follow all safety rules and policies.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
