Hydrogenics, part of the Cummins Group is an industry leading developer of renewable hydrogen technology and we are currently looking to hire an Aftersales Engineer to join us in our Oevel location.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a consultative Sales Engineer who is customer centric and looking to take a step into the renewables market.

This is the perfect role for you if you are results driven and you enjoy working collaboratively with customers, identifying their needs so you can recommend services that will add value to our applications on site.

Responsibilities

  • React to concrete customer requests, by making quotations and follow up on them until completion.

  • Evaluate existing customer needs to identify potential opportunities, such as additional services, warranties or upgrades, to ensure the Service Plan is achieved. Collaborate with the Service Engineers to gain an insight of potential customer needs.

  • Grow and establish positive customer relations. Utilize customer satisfaction tools to measure satisfaction and create action plans for improvement where necessary.

  • Negotiate and implement contracts, including payment terms and accounts receivable deliverables. Report and manage invoicing on after sales activities.

  • Work towards achieving yearly revenue targets, as set by the Service Manager.

  • Create and maintain a clear and logical after sales structure with an effective pricing methodology.

  • Liaise with customers about any specific concerns regarding their service contract agreement and work towards an effective solution.

  • Develop an understanding of our electrolysis equipment in a broad sense i.e. mechanical, electrical, process and software

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or master degree in engineering (field or electro mechanics) or equivalent through experience.

  • Previous experience in a service related sales capacity is essential, multinational experience is a plus.

  • Fluency in English is required, and Dutch is a preference.

  • Commercially aware with excellent negotiation skills.

  • Natural rapport building skills with a desire to attain a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Results driven, even under tough circumstances

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of the customer
