Description
Ensures products received or produced meet technical specifications. Works under moderate supervision.
Verifies the final quality of products on the production line.
Compares the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment and products to technical specifications to identify defects.
Separates products that do not have the desired technical specification, using basic and/or complex measurement techniques and equipment.
Documents products that do not meet technical specifications using specified systems.
Trains others in the use of measurement equipment, segregation of non-conforming product and documentation.
Follows the norms and standards of quality defined by the Company.

Measurement Science - Analyzes measurement processes throughout the relevant traceability chain to identify and quantify sources of measurement uncertainty relevant to the appropriate applied measurement science, “Metrology” e.g. Chemical, Dimensional, Electrical, Mechanical, Optical and Radiation and Physical.
Laboratory Management - Leads technical resources while managing the business aspects of a laboratory using measure to control both the technical and business aspects of the organization and assuring the requirements of the appropriate certifications and/or accreditations are met.
Quality Process Management - Applies and manages methods (e.g. SPC, Capability studies, Layered Process Audit, inspection, test) to ensure quality of Cummins products, processes, and services.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience.
Knowledge of Engine parts, Engine assembly and Inspection process.
Knowledge to use of Quality Tools like 7 Step problem solving technique , Why -Why Analysis, Pareto, Checklist etc.
Calibration of Torque wrenches.
Defect Analysis, RCA investigation and Timely defect closure.
Proactive approach to avoid defects.
Sensitive in following HSE guidelines, Positive and proactive for HSE culture enhancement.
Open to learn.
Good in Data capturing , Data analysis and presentation.
Good Presentation and communication skill.
