DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Facilities Technician - Level I to join our team specializing in facilities for our Cummins Inc. facility in Plainfield, IN
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Promoting Safety First You’ll actively identify and mitigate safety risks in all tasks, ensuring a secure environment for everyone in the facility.
Supporting Operational Continuity By addressing reactive maintenance quickly and efficiently, you’ll help minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.
Enhancing Facility Reliability Your work on preventative and predictive maintenance will extend the life of equipment and reduce unexpected failures.
Improving Workspaces Through repairs and upkeep—like fixing floors, walls, ceilings, and lighting—you’ll create a cleaner, more functional, and comfortable environment for employees.
Maintaining Exterior Grounds Your efforts in yard maintenance, pit and sump cleaning, and dock drain repairs will contribute to a professional and safe exterior appearance.
Optimizing Inventory and Resources By managing spare parts and ordering supplies, you’ll ensure maintenance tasks are completed efficiently without delays.
Utilizing Technology for Efficiency Using software to track and prioritize tasks will help streamline workflows and improve response times.
Operating Equipment Safely and Effectively Your ability to handle powered tools and vehicles like forklifts and golf carts will support both maintenance tasks and logistics.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Experience:
Minimal or no work experience required.
