Job Information

Cummins Inc. Team Coordinator - 1st Shift (Rotating) in Portland, Oregon

DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

· Under minimal supervision, coordinate operations through interaction with operations management

· Coordinates activities for different areas like inbound, outbound, kitting, etc. based on direction from operations management

· Report any work-related injury, illness, incident or hazard immediately stopping work when an incident occurs, and appropriately correcting these hazards within your control and capability

· Lead HSE Training and actively engage workforce in compliance with HSE standards, policies, procedures & regulations based on business requirements.

· Perform quality checks for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices, immediately rectifying any issues, resulting in cost savings, and identifying quality exposures in the moment.

· Receive incoming goods, accurately sort, label/package, store goods and arrange storage to optimize warehouse space

· Operate manual and automated equipment to pick, pack and ship product per the customer expectations

· Work at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard

· Ensure that the required PPE is being utilized in the proper environment

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

· You will need to ensure accountability amongst your team in a collaborative manner

· To be successful, you will need to have good communication and the ability to drive results through quality decision making. Communication will be with both internal and external stakeholders

· Knowledge and experience of various operations within a warehouse including but not limited to inventory control, trade knowledge, and mode selection

· Good written and verbal communication skills

· Have drive and shows initiative for self-development

· Willing to work a rotating schedule of 6:30 AM-3:00 PM/ 9:30 AM-6:00 PM

Education/Experience

· A two-year University degree from an accredited program in Business, Engineering or a relevant field of study preferred.

· This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations

· High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations

· Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience in a related field such as logistics, warehousing and third-party logistics provider management

· Familiarity with Red Prairie software a plus

· Detail oriented and able to drive results

· Willingness to step into operations to do additional tasks as required

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.

Base salary range: Min$ 46,720 – Max$ 70,080.00

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
