Sr. Supplier Quality Improvement Engineer
This is a fantastic opportunity in Quimper for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer, responsible for a broad range of suppliers across Europe.

Responsibilities will include;
Ensure defect-free performance of the business' supplier base with the objective of overall quality improvement, leading processes to drive improvements and resolve any supplier quality issues.
Participate in supplier evaluation, selection, and strategic sourcing process development.
Ownership of the supplier corrective action process including containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
Ensures suppliers use quality tools effectively.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure all product requirements are met.
Oversee the supplier quality resources for new product introduction and current products to reduce supplier related issues, improving process capabilities, and ensuring timely project launches.
Determining if all requirements are met by the supplier for new or changed products.
Measure supplier quality performance according to established procedures; drives appropriate improvements to meet established targets.
Facilitate continuous improvement activities to reduce defects.
To be considered you will need;
An engineering qualification or substantial, relevant experience in an SQA position.
A proven track record in Supplier Quality Assurance, preferably with a focus on injection molding, castings, stamping and fabrication.
An understanding of technical drawings and design specifications with the ability to effectively communicate them to suppliers.
Proven track record using structured problem-solving tools and techniques such as; FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC etc.
Previous experience working on six- sigma projects would be beneficial.
An influential leader with a collaborative style who can communicate with people at all levels.
An independent thinker, able to take an assertive stance to enforce the key requirements of quality for the end customer.
Freedom and willingness to travel across mainland Europe for supplier visits (approx. 25 – 40% travel)
English language skills are essential, and other European language skills are highly desirable.
