We are looking for a talented Product Validation Engineer to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Engine Business in Rocky Mount, NC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • This product focused position verifies and validates the functionality of Cummins’ products across a wide range of customer requirements, across a variety of applications, in various environments. This work plans, tracks, and evaluates results from a wide range of analyses and functional tests to assess product risk and performance. These results are expected to drive quality decisions and proactively resolve product issues before the product reaches the customer.

  • Future Product Cylinder Head Mechanical Development Leader – will tie in with VPI and manage validation of a new design cylinder head machined and sub assembled at Rocky Mount Engine Plant (RMEP).

  • VPI Design Feedback – Provide design for manufacturing feedback to VPI designers on future products. Help drive improvements on ongoing current product quality and manufacturing issues. Identify opportunities for backwards compatibility and drive the reduction of proliferation with current and future product

  • Leading technical improvement projects such as Cummins Engineering Standard Revision – update and validate manufacturing and assembly focused CES

  • Providing leadership and technical guidance to team members

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required.

  • Prior entry level engineering equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required.

  • Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
