We are looking for a talented Parts Interpreter to join our team to support both internal and external customers, with the sale and supply of parts, ensuring all transactions are completed efficiently and with a focus on delivering exceptional customer support for our Newcastle (Tomago) branch.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Provide world class service to our well-established customer base

  • Interpreting parts using Quickserve online

  • The selling and upselling of Cummins Parts as well as ordering and distribution

  • Provide personalised local service to our valued customers, both face to face via our parts front counter and by phone

  • Assist in the parts functions of inventory ordering, cycle counting and freight management

  • Maintain departmental KPI’s and focus on continuous improvement

  • Assist in the warehouse are required

  • Work with our regional customers and internal Cummins stakeholders across our Newcastle warehouse and other Cummins branches in the region

  • Support our customers as a part team covering our customers Mon-Fri 7am-7pm (work hours likely to be 8:00 – 4:06), with every 5thSaturday afternoon and an on-call component

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Have previous Parts interpretation experience, ideally in an automotive environment.

  • A qualification in parts interpreting, parts sales or warehousing would be advantageous

  • Mechanical aptitude or background would be highly regarded

  • High levels of customer service as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential

  • Be highly IT and systems savvy

  • Highly motivated and a self-starter and be able to work as part of a team

  • A forklift licence would be high regarded; however, we are able to provide training and certification
