We are looking for a talented Parts Interpreter to join our team to support both internal and external customers, with the sale and supply of parts, ensuring all transactions are completed efficiently and with a focus on delivering exceptional customer support for our Newcastle (Tomago) branch.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Provide world class service to our well-established customer base
Interpreting parts using Quickserve online
The selling and upselling of Cummins Parts as well as ordering and distribution
Provide personalised local service to our valued customers, both face to face via our parts front counter and by phone
Assist in the parts functions of inventory ordering, cycle counting and freight management
Maintain departmental KPI’s and focus on continuous improvement
Assist in the warehouse are required
Work with our regional customers and internal Cummins stakeholders across our Newcastle warehouse and other Cummins branches in the region
Support our customers as a part team covering our customers Mon-Fri 7am-7pm (work hours likely to be 8:00 – 4:06), with every 5thSaturday afternoon and an on-call component
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Have previous Parts interpretation experience, ideally in an automotive environment.
A qualification in parts interpreting, parts sales or warehousing would be advantageous
Mechanical aptitude or background would be highly regarded
High levels of customer service as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
Be highly IT and systems savvy
Highly motivated and a self-starter and be able to work as part of a team
A forklift licence would be high regarded; however, we are able to provide training and certification
