Cummins Inc. Maintenance Supervisor in Daventry, United Kingdom

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Daventry.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

· Assisting with planning and executing the preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance of production equipment.

· Working with teams in the maintenance organization and assists line employees in basic maintenance procedures.

· Assisting Facilities, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering in problem identification, trouble shooting, and equipment issue resolution and repair.

· Assisting with spare parts and indirect materials inventory by using a computerized maintenance management system.

· Assisting with equipment engineering design evaluations.

· Building preventative maintenance processes to ensure equipment is available and capable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need experience with the following:

· Driving improvements through the appropriate use of tools, techniques, problem-solving and data analysis.

· Communication through the utilisation of information and communication forums available as entrance meetings, exit meetings, team briefings, formal presentations etc.

· Managing attendance through the application of the Attendance Management policy and procedure – Return to Work Interviews, Absence Reviews, formal disciplinary as when required.

· Ensuring that all team members display dignity and respect for their fellow team members and next level supervisors/managers. Lead by example with respect to Treatment and Conduct and challenge all issues of non-compliance.

· Managing the Time Management System to ensure all anomalies are resolved correctly and timely to ensure hours/pay are 100% accurate.

· Ensuring that team members training and development needs are identified and addressed.

· Providing on the job training and coaching as appropriate.

· Providing a safe environment for team members to ensure hazards and risks are reduced / eliminated and accidents and near misses are identified and reported.

· Compliance with appropriate internal and external quality controls and conduct regular self-assessments and audits.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Recognised apprenticeship as a time served Electrician / Fitter is essential plus a minimum of ONC (National certificate) or equivalent.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills

· Good knowledge of Maintenance systems and techniques is essential.

· Manufacturing experience is desirable.

· PC literate is desirable.

· Good literacy and numeracy is desirable.
