Cummins Inc. Senior Control Engineer - Power Generation in Singapore, Singapore

DESCRIPTION

This role will see you as part of a team of customer focused Power Generation Engineers specializing as the technical liaison between Cummins and its customers. Applying Cummins’ power generation products to customer’s power generation and distribution systems requires the development of technical specifications, implementing design configurations, and delivering high-performance, cost-effective equipment and system solutions integrated with customers’ power system in variety of applications at data centers, commercial buildings, hospitals, semiconductor manufacturing facilities, water treatment plants, gas compressor stations, mining sites, etc.

In this role, you will offer power generation system level control, testing and commissioning engineering expertise throughout pre-tender phase, tender phase, project delivery phase, testing & commissioning phase.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Interpret customer requirements,

  • Recognize regulatory requirements,

  • Define functional & performance requirements,

  • Recommend applicable control systems and solutions (e.g. digital master control),

  • Communicate control system installation requirements,

  • Recommend and review control systems installation designs,

  • Lead the implementation of electrical/control system projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements,

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with mechanical, electrical, and software components,

  • Provide PLC programming and troubleshooting support,

  • Develop and provide control, testing, and commissioning documentations,

  • Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting during the project delivery phase,

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff,

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and apply innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges,

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures in all engineering activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications:

· College, university, or equivalent Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical or Electronics or Mechatronics or Systems Engineering is required,

· Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams and control system drawings is required,

· PLC programming knowledge is required,

· Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.
