Our Distribution Business Unit in Europe consists of a distributor and dealer support network. They deliver reliable sales and service of durable and high performing engine, generator set and aftermarket products to our regionally based (global) partners. Working in a diverse, multi-cultural and innovative space, you’ll interact directly with our customers, build relationships and develop high tech solutions that will fuel your advanced career skill set. We need you to join us as a HSE Coordinator to implement HSE projects for a handful of our smallerdistribution sites around the UK (approx.150 colleagues in total across all sites). You'll work as part of a European team, focusing on achieving globally agreed HSE goals. In this position you will have the opportunity to have involvement in a variety of forward thinking projects designed to improve Occupational Health, Staff Safety and lessen our impact on the environment.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

  • Support Implementation of HSE programmes and Corporate initiatives to assist in the continued development and maintenance of the HSE Management System (HSEMS).

  • Ensure compliance to corporate and legislative requirements

  • Establish relationships, processes and tools with Site Leadership to influence employees to meet HSE goals and objectives.

  • Identify and implement controls to reduce the environmental impacts and health & safety risk associated with site operations.

  • Support internal and external HSE audits.

  • Support, conduct, monitor and promote follow up actions from internal and external audits and incidents. You will ensure all actions from audits are tracked through to completion.

  • Follow-up and deliver all required HSE trainings in the organization.

  • Monitor and report on HSE performance across the sites.

  • Work to advance new programmes, processes, and tools to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HSE practices.

  • Ensure effective record keeping and reporting is maintained at all times.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience Required:

You will succeed in this role with the following skills and knowledge:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Influential with the ability to motivate others to achieve positive HSE Culture.

  • Existing experience working in an HSE position with demonstrable knowledge of relevant HSE legislation and regulations.

  • Experience with risk management including hazard analysis tools and techniques.

  • Experienced in change management and continuous improvement projects.

  • Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 would be beneficial.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • NEBOSH certificate is essential

  • TechIOSH membership is desirable

Compensation and Benefits
