Cummins is looking for an extraordinary Project Coordinator to be located at our White Bear Lake, Minnesota location.

This position could be a full time role or a part time role. The full time hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

We are also open to consider a part-time schedule.

Job Description

  • Process incoming orders by creating work orders and releasing purchase orders to production for both Cummins supplied items as well as third party vendor items

  • Assist in coordinating sales support activities with Inside sales engineers including assistance with parts cost pricing for quotes and coordination of orders which coincides with customer quote/order.

  • Insure proper credit terms have been established by working in tandem with the credit department

  • Verify all projects meet the requirements of SOX rules and regulations

  • Submit new vendor requests for purchasing outside resources

  • Coordinate with cross functional groups to determine parts substitutions when necessary

  • Issue order acknowledgement to project managers to supply initial estimated shipment dates

  • Maintain order information throughout the project via the completion of World Wide Change Orders

  • Assist in coordinating shipping and tracking logistics for items ordered

  • Communicate and interface with project managers to insure timely delivery of equipment and create solutions for any issues that may arise

  • Receive specialized items as well as serialized items to insure proper inventory management

  • Assist with processing and maintaining the invoices of materials utilized for production.

  • Review work orders prior to project close to verify all items utilized have been billed out correctly

  • Process customer billing and invoicing

  • Obtain proof of delivery on all orders for revenue recognition regulations

  • Manage reporting for serialized inventory and aging open work orders

  • Review data related to on time delivery, order processing, etc., in order to assist in the development of process improvement strategies



  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office products.

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.

  • Associate degree or equivalent in a related area or one or more year related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of both.


  • Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial

  • Ability to contribute to system improvement processesMust be results oriented and have a strong commitment to task completion


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (active listening, writing, speaking & telephone)
